"The Sea Was Wet As Wet Could Be..."
The title of this subtle yet whimsical sketchbook drawing is, of course, taken from Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem, but more significant (to me at least) is that the great Gahan Wilson used it as a title and subject for one of his short stories (Collected in The Cleft and Other Odd Tales, Tor, 1998)
And if that's not enough name-dropping for this post to try and feebly excuse another cartoon of a topless lady, then it was drawn for my Artist pal, Chuck Rogers and based on fish characters created by Super Cartoonist, Banci Wright.
Sometimes it's good to try and share the blame..!
