This was done for a FB group called "Creative Procrastination" run by Dom Harbot. It's the stuff we do when we should be working, but idle hands & all that... There's a monthly theme, and this is number two.

Macbeth (Again!)

Just in case the Black & White versions slipped by you, here's the one's with the colour guides...

I had to scan this in two parts as it wouldn't fit in our scanner. A few years back I did a book (Streets Ahead) for a children's book publisher (No, honestly!) and toyed with the idea of pitching a comic book adaptation of Macbeth. I mean, everybody has heard of it, right?

Anyway, here's part of the pitch/sample. Brush and Ink on 2-Ply Bristol. Oh, and sorry about the shit word-balloons, I was trying out different shapes/thicknesses. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...

"...Mala Noche..." - Preston Blair meets Goya!

These are the final panels from ...Mala Noche... a bit of an odd comic strip with the drawing lifted from Preston Blair (See below) and the words from the captions to Goya's Disasters of War. No idea why I did this. Your guess is as good as mine. Oh, and we'd just got back from a trip to Amsterdam...

Wyndham Lewis was an odd figure on the English art scene in the first half of the 20th century. Part crank (politically) and part genius (artistically) his popularity seems to come and go. I drew this after seeing an exhibition in Manchester around 2003
